Author Peng Shepherd
Peng was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, where she rode horses and trained in classical ballet. She earned her M.F.A. in creative writing from New York University, and has lived in Beijing, London, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and New York. "The Book of M" is her first novel.

this book is from ursula k.le.guinthis book is about a young wizard who loses his shadow and goes to fight him so that it does not do irreplaceable dangers as he explores the whole world doing evil deeds. I will ruin the end of the book here but spoil it. I must instead of the final confrontation with that shadow, the witch rotates the shadow back to herself doing magic. The reason I bring this up is because everyone in my class thinks this ending is great, including me. The teacher desperately tried his best to show the class why that was the only possible end, and that was good

Excellent-grips you from the start and keeps you enthralled through out the story. Wonderful twist and turns. I could not stop reading. Thank you for the adventure.
