“She’d noticed his mood change. He wasn’t happy about something. Stopping before the doors, he turned to her with an intense stare. She suddenly felt like a wall had gone up.
“What’s wrong?”
“When were you going to tell me?”
“Tell you what?”
“Don’t play innocent with me. You were almost taken!”
Kalissa winched at his harsh tone. “It was no big deal. I’m here. Everything worked out.” She crossed her arms. “Who told you?”
“No one.” He looked out the back doors.

“That’s an invasion of privacy.”
