“Glengarry School Days” by Charles William Gordon, a Canadian novelist who wrote under the pseudonym ‘Ralph Connor’ (1860 –1937), combines 15 sketches creating a fascinating portrait of childhood and a delightful account of boyhood enthusiasm in Ontario during the 1870s. The stories tell of boys’ adventures and their school-life, which appears to be supposedly a fictionalized account of true events. Published in 1902.
