Burton Willis Potter (1843-1927) was an American author and lawyer. He served in the civil war, first as private and later as sergeant. His works include: Speech of B. W. Potter (1872), The Road and the Roadside (1886), Fruits of the Civil War (1886) and Colonial Life in Rutland (1894).
