Mrs. Mary L. Kellogg was the writer of several books on Alaska under the name May Kellogg Sullivan. Her home was near Matanuska in South western Alaska where she spent seven seasons. Her works include: A Woman Who Went to Alaska (1902), describing two trips to the north taken over 18 months, beginning in 1899, and The Trail of a Sourdough: Life in Alaska (1910).
